The Astros came to a damp Jim Rice Field starving for some real baseball. Finally, after 4 months in the cages, they got it! Starter Milciades Santana threw 6 strong shutout innings striking out 8 and only giving up 2 hits. Jonathan Matos and rookie closer Eddy Morrobel finished off the 7th inning striking out the side. At the plate the Astros were lead by veteran Chris Deane (2-2, 2RBI, BB), and Josh Valerio (2-3, 2R), and Miguel Rodriguez (2-3). Francis Reyes, Paul Politsopoulos, Moises Maza, Rommel Peguero, and Alex Weldon also had a hit each. Great way to start the season!
