Harbor Point Dodgers 15, McKay Club Beacons 9
Brookline moves to 4-3 on the year with a big win at McKay Club in Dorchester. After fighting the ridiculous Dorchester Parade traffic, the Dodgers fought back from a 5-0 1st inning deficit to move back over .500 on the season.
Brookline 1B Zvi Dubitzky had a big day, going 2-4 with a double, a walk, 2 runs and 5 RBI's. 3B Jerrad Ryan went 3-4 with a double, a walk, 2 runs and 2 RBI. CF Jay Shatto stole 2 bases, while going 2-4 with a HBP and 2 runs scored. Every Dodger starter scored a run and reached base twice.
Starter Marty Whitmore (1-2) pitched a better game than the score would show, hurling 6 innings of 6 hit, 3 walk, 4 earned run ball. Whitmore struck out 7, including 3 Beacons straight in the 5th inning with the bases loaded. |
