Friday night baseball at Jim Rice Field. The Astros beat the Force 9-3 and improved their record to 2-0 on the young season. Astros jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the 3rd inning as Jordan Matos lead off with a double and was knocked in by Rommel Peguero. Francis Reyes and Miguel Rodriguez also knocked in runs in the 3rd. After the Force made it close with 3 runs in the top of the 5th, the Astros pulled away in the 6th with 4 more runs, highlighted by a Delvis Baez RBI double. On the mound Stevie Melo (1-0) was strong thru 4.1 innings, and was followed by a rock solid 1.2 innings by Izzy Velez, and a scoreless 7th by Hairo Hernandez.
