Somerville advances to the YBL Semi-finals with a 20-3 game four victory over East Boston.

Jimmy Ricoy knocked in 5 RBI on his 3-4 night, including a towering 3-run home run in the 5th. Zack Littman went 4-5 with 3 RBI and Will Brennan added a pair of doubles in the win. Sean Sullivan tossed five innings for the win, allowing three runs.

Ken Luongo smashed a two-run homer in the first, his second home run of the series, deep into the left-center corner. Marty Dunlap went 3-for-4 on the night to lead the EBK offense. Adam Somers suffered the loss.

The Red Army plates 5 runs in the first inning on a pair of two-RBI singles from Will Brennan and Bobby Barrett as they take the pivotal game three by a 9-5 final over East Boston.

Brennan finished the night going 3-5 with a double and 4 RBI. Barrett went 3-4 with three RBI for Somerville. Lamarre Rey earned the win on the mound as he scattered five hits over 6 innings of work.

For the Knights, Chuck Erickson lifted a long fly ball over the centerfield fence for a two-run homer in the second while Marty Dunlap recorded 2 hits in 3 ABs with a RBI. Evan Vallera threw a 150+ pitch complete game in the loss.

Game Four back at Maplewood tomorrow night.

Behind the complete game, 10 K effort from veteran Jon Morse, the Red Army evens the series at 1 with a 6-3 win. Ted Dziuba blasted a two-run homer in the 6th while Will Brennan knocked in a pair of his own going 2-for-3.

Victor Lebron led of the game with an inside-the-park home run while Ken Luongo started his 3-for-3 night with a solo shot over the fence in right center. Sam Bennett suffered the loss tossing three plus innings and Jon Shepard spun the final three frames.

Townies end their inaugural season on a high note picking up their 10th win. Ryan MacDonald, making his first start for the Townies, threw 4 innings allowing 2 runs. After the Knights tied the game in the fifth Mike Bartlett was able to hold them off the next two innings picking up his second win of the season.

Devin Santilli and Cam Bando were both 3-4 from the plate for the Townies. Ryan O'Connor went 3-3 with a walk.

Ockner throws 6 strong innings of 5H,2BB,0ER,4k and shep comes in to close it out for his league leading 6th save. Not a ton of offense as both Owens and Ross kept the knights off balance for good portion of the night. Non the less the offense was led by mainly Skylar Beckerman who had the only multi hit game going 2-3 2B,2SB,1RS and Mikey "O" who went 1-2 SACF,1RBI while also making some amazing plays at 2nd base to help out knights pitching.

Loynd goes 2-2 with a single,2B,1BB,1RS for the Sox.

Revere gets on the board in the first with an RBI double from Sean Glavin. They add 4 more in the second highlighted by a Bobby Foote 3 Run Homer.

EBK chips away at the lead forcing extra innings. All bats stay quiet until the Knights push across a run in the 10th inning. In the bottom half of the 10th patient bats lead the Rockies to victory as Adam Del Rio draws the walk off walk.

Chris Hartery led the way for the Rockies going 3-5. Tony Iafolla, Chris Santosuosso, and Bobby Foote each had 2 hits.

Two homers and a triple play help the Sabers past the Knight 14-2

Sam Cummings pitched 5 shutout innings letting up only 3 hits, while striking out 6 Knights to earn his 2nd win of the season.

Sabers would get on the board first with a 3 run homer by Luciano.
O'Brien would follow with a 2 RBI single.

Colucci would hit in Pizarro in 2nd and Quezada would add a sac fly in 4th.

Lenane would then smash a 2 run homer of his own in the 5th.

In the 5th, the Knights would threaten with the bases load and nobody out when Cummings would roll an exciting 5-4-3 triple play!

Banyan and Della Volpe would get an RBI a piece for Eastie in the 6th.

Adams and Colucci had 3 hits for Stoneham.

Rollins had 2 for the Knights.

Knights win a tough one in extras against a tough Black Sox team.

The story of the night though was Kenny Luongo who started the game on the mound for the 1st time since being less than a year removed from TJ surgery. Luongo would pitch 2 Innings (OR,1H,1K)while also going (2-4 1RBI,1BB) at the plate.
The knights also got key offensive contributions from Erickson (2-5 double,2RBI), Lebron(2-4 3RS,2RBI,1BB,3SB) and Paulino (2-5 3RS,2-2b's,1RBI).

Both Erickson and Shep threw well in relief of luongo.

Knights squeak one out vs a tough Savin Hill Team. Erickson had the game tying triple in the 4th and then luongo had the game winning single in the 5th. Knights pitching kept them in the Game all night long with ockner pitching 4 innings(0ER,7ks,1BB), Vallera stealing the win in relief with 2 shutout innings and then shep shutting the door in the 7th to secure the win.

Smith and Whittle had multi-hit games for savin hill.

ATBC bands together to get the win. After going down 2 in the bottom of the second, the A's answered right back with a 3 spot in the top of the third, behind the bat of Ryan McGeown-Conron, with a 2-rbi double. That was enough to wake up the bats as the boys would sprinkle in 4 more runs. On the bump, Bill Clang pitched 5 solid innings, with 6 k's. Archibald was effective in relief, striking out 3, and finishing off the game.

Braves strike in the first on a Smith RBI double and a Uberti RBI single. Uberti launches a solo shot to right in the 3rd.

Knights get within one in the bottom half on Luongo and Polanco grounders.

Braves add an insurance run in the 6th on a balk with a man on third.

Jon Morse allows just a two run homer to Ken Luongo over his 5+ innings of work as the Alibrandis roll to a 6-2 win in a rematch of the 2015 finalists.

David Lightbody smashed a two-run homer himself in the 4 run 3rd inning. Mark Addesa went 2-3 with a 2B and 3B to help bolster the offensive attack.

Sam Bennett suffered the loss for EBK while Evan Vallera spun three scoreless innings in relief.

Knights Finally Stop Sucking and Win a game! Marty "Robocop" Dunlap(2-4 HR,2RS,3RBI) got the scoring started early in the first with a bomb to LF for a solo shot. Jose "booboo" Paulino (2-4 2b,2RS,3RBI) chipped in with a little offense himself as well as Kenny "Choritos" Polanco (2-3 2-2b's,2RS). The player of the game though was Chuck "Chuckie Monster" Erickson who had a stat line on the mound of (5IP,4H,1BB,1ER) and capped his night off with an absolute bomb to CF for his 1st "dinga" of the year. Great all around game for the 1st time this year by the knights.

The A's lineup contributed from top to bottom, led by Chris DeGiacomo and Brendan Musto, who both had mutli-rbi triples. Colin Brennan and Mike Musto came in for the 6th and 7th respectively to complete the shut out.

Chris Dion goes the distance to help the Sabers defeat the Knights 5-2 on a hot day at Recreation Park

Dion tossed 7 strong, scattering 6 hits on 2 runs, 1 earned, striking out 2 to earn his 3rd win of the season.

In the 3rd, Cave and Tirone would hit back to back singles and Pizarro would get hit by a pitch to load the bases. Tommy Lenane would follow with a game winning 2 RBI single down the right field line. Travis Adams would then blast a 2 RBI triple to add more.

The Sabers would add 1 more insurance run in the 5th with a RBI single by Rodriquez.

Beckman had 2 hits and a RBI for the Knights.

Tirone reached base all 3 times for Stoneham.

Knights Squeak one out after blowing lead in 7th! Shep goes 5 strong only giving up 2 earned runs. The offense was led early on by Brandon Avella (2-3 1RBI,1BB,2SB 1RS), Marty "Robocop" Dunlap (1-2 2B,2RBI,1BB). With a 7-4 lead going into the 7th inning Eaton came into close the game despite not throwing 1 warm up pitch due to miscommunication about him going into the game or not. Eaton Stunk up the joint giving up the tying runs. Eaton would help himself in the bottom of the 7th though by leading off with a HBP and then scoring the game winning run as Rookie Skylar Beckerman singles in Eaton for the knights walk-off win!

Sherman bounces back in his second start, scattering 7 hits and 1 run to earn his first YBL victory.

With the bases full in the first, Chetelat plates a runner on a single to right. Uberti scores on an overthrow at 3rd. Tracy follows with a 2-run double. Braves add one more on a Walsh grounder that is mishandled by the pitcher.

Knights get one in the 4th on a deep Sac Fly to center by Dunlap. They add two more in the 6th - Paulino advances to 3rd on a wild pitch and scores as Tracy skies the throw over third. Later in the inning, Erickson launches a double to left-center to score Dunlap who had walked.

Oliveria walks to lead off the 7th, Paulino singles and LeBron bunts them over. Chetelat settles down and comes up with a huge strikeout of Dunlap who had been mashing deep fly balls all night. Mercado singles to left scoring Oliveria but Paulino had to be held up at 3rd. Chetelat bears down and induces a grounder to end the game

The bats would wake up a little bit tonight with 6 runs on 6 hits. The biggest hit of the night was a 3 run bomb from Kenny "No Power" Luongo in the first inning which gave the knights a 3-1 lead that they wouldn't give up. Vallera with the win and shep with the lock down save.
