Braves open in the 2nd on a Bere BB with the bases loaded. McKay answers the next inning when Foley singles in Rittenhouse. They take the lead in the 6th on a smart base running play by Higgins (3B). On a slow grounder in front of the mound, Higgins took off as soon as it was thrown to first and beat the ensuing throw home.

In the 7th, McLaughlin gets on with a pinch-hit walk. Skoczylas Ks the Braves 1 and 2 hitters but pinch runner, Sammarco, gets to 2nd and 3rd on a failed pick-off attempt and wild pitch. Uberti comes through with a liner to right to tie it.

DeFusco with a pinch-hit BB in the 9th. Pinch runner, Sherman, gets to 2nd on a wild pitch and to 3rd on a Glantz grounder to 2nd. Again Uberti comes through with a 2 out liner to left to end the game.

Foley (2-4, RBI) and Higgins (2-4, 3B, R) led the McKay Club offense.

Rockies grab the lead in the 3rd on a Hartery double and a Rufo 2-run single. They add another in the 4th as Foote drives home DelRio and 2 in the 5th on a Swaz base-knock and a Foote ground out.

Braves battle back with 4 in the 5th to tie it up on a bases loaded Walsh walk, a Joyce Sac Fly and Tracy's infield single.

Greeley is able to sit the powerful Rocks 2-3-4 hitters in order in the 7th. In the bottom of the inning, Robb leads off with a walk and Walsh gets him to 2nd on another infield single. Facing his college teammate, Joyce smacks a ball between short and 3rd scoring Robb for the walk-off win.

Best wishes go out to Alex Wong who sustained an arm injury on the mound. Here's hoping it's only a small bump in the road and nothing serious.

Sherman bounces back in his second start, scattering 7 hits and 1 run to earn his first YBL victory.

With the bases full in the first, Chetelat plates a runner on a single to right. Uberti scores on an overthrow at 3rd. Tracy follows with a 2-run double. Braves add one more on a Walsh grounder that is mishandled by the pitcher.

Knights get one in the 4th on a deep Sac Fly to center by Dunlap. They add two more in the 6th - Paulino advances to 3rd on a wild pitch and scores as Tracy skies the throw over third. Later in the inning, Erickson launches a double to left-center to score Dunlap who had walked.

Oliveria walks to lead off the 7th, Paulino singles and LeBron bunts them over. Chetelat settles down and comes up with a huge strikeout of Dunlap who had been mashing deep fly balls all night. Mercado singles to left scoring Oliveria but Paulino had to be held up at 3rd. Chetelat bears down and induces a grounder to end the game

Brighton Braves 4, Savin Hill Dodgers 3

 Summary | Box Score
Final 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 R H E
Brighton Braves 0 0 0 0 0 3 1 4 9 1
Savin Hill Dodgers 0 0 0 0 0 3 0 3 10 0

The score remained knotted at zeros through 5 innings as both teams sent their aces to the hill, Smith vs Huber. Dodger bats collect six hits through 3 but some solid defensive plays and two pickoffs at second kept any from crossing the plate.

Braves strike first in the 6th with back to back singles by Kennedy-Smith and Tracy, both with the bases loaded. Dodgers tie it up in the bottom half on a mammoth shot out to right by Concessi for a 3 run dinger.

Braves load the bases in the 7th with one out but only manage one run with Sammarco beating the throw to home off a Robb grounder. It would be enough though as Kennedy-Smith bears down in the bottom half, retiring the side in order with a ground out and 2 K's to preserve the Braves 1st win of the season.

Braves host East Boston at Rogers on Monday.
