Same Cummings pitches 6 shutout innings to help the Sabers sweep the series as they advance to the Yawkey Baseball semi finals!

Cummings threw 6 scoreless innings, scattering 3 hits, striking out 3 Knights to earn his first YBL playoff win

The Sabers plated 3 runs in the 3rd. After Robinson, Adams, and MacDonald loaded the bases. Schauwecker would lay down a perfect bunt to score Robinson. Chapman would draw the RBI walk and MacDonald would later score on a throwing error

MacDonald would hit a lead off triple in the 5th and score on a Schauwecker grounder

Sabers tack on 4 more in the 6th, on a Robinson single and a pair of RBI walks from Schauwecker and Chapman

MacDonald reached base all 4 times and scored 3 runs.

Schauwecker stayed hot with 3 RBIS

Chapman has back to back 2 RBI nights

Flanagan pitched 6 innings, only letting up 1 hit, on 1 earned, striking out 5 Knights, earning his first YBL playoff win

The Sabers would explode for 11 hits

Angelo Colucci would start off the rally in the 1st with an RBI single to score Mike Robinson. Colucci would go for 4 for 4 with a double, 2 RBIS and a walk. Then Nick Schauwecker hit a bases clearing triple to cap of the inning. Schauwecker had 2 hits and 4 RBIS.

Dion let up only 2 hits, striking out 2 Knights, on no runs, earning the win

Stoneham would push 1 across in the 5th. Nick Schauwecker would hit a lead off single, Joe Parlow would bunt him over and then Stefan Botarelli would smack on what would be a game winning RBI single

Stoneham would add 2 more in the 6th. Mike Robinson would hit a lead off single and Angelo Colucci would then walk. When Rob MacDonald and Nick Schauwecker would both hit a RBI single a piece

Sabers turn 3 double plays and Botarelli was phenomenal at SS

DORCHESTER, MA... In the last regular season game for the Knights and the division on the line they sent veteran Kenny Luongo to the bump in hopes of winning their second consecutive Yaz division championship. Kenny Luongo did not disappoint going the distance and holding the Nationals to no hits through 6 and 2/3 innings. With 2 outs Dave Silletti served one up to the opposite field over 3rd basemen Kenny Polancos head for the first hit of the day for the Nats. Luongo would then retire the next batter for the complete game one hitter. That victory put the Knights in first place for the time being as they would have to scoreboard watch in hopes that the A's would beat the Saints for the Knights to clinch the 4 seed. The A's defeated the Saints 6 - 0 and the Knights win the division!! The Knights pounded out 13 hits on the day capped by a Brian Maynard moonshot homerun. Wilson Mercado was 3-3 on the day.

Great baseball game.

Sullivan pitched 6.2 great innings giving up an unearned run. Tanguy pitches 1.1 innings to pick up win in Relief.

Offensively in the 3rd Addesa leads off with a hit, Mendonca (299 career regular season hits) gives up his at bat to bunt him over, and the Strong MVP candidate Dziuba drives him in with a hit. In the 8th Maguire leads off with a walk, and Barrett gets him. Dziuba and DesRoches both with 2 hits.

Rogers makes a web gem at SS and Addesa plays great defense all game.

A goal set in September for the regular season..was met tonight. 30-3 (18-1 in last 19 games to get there).

Brian Mylett tossed a 6.1 inning gem and ran into a wall in the 7th as he walked two lead off batters. The Beacons were stoked to a 5-1 lead and held on to win 5-4. Paul Fahey and Eric O'Brien combined to navb a runner at HP to end the festivities and plate a big win tonight.

Drew Tambling had 2 hits & an RBI. Robbie Lerro had an RBI single and plated another big run with a SAC fly.

Nice to see the kids compete so well against an excellent East Boston Knight ball Club!

Braves get some timely hitting and another strong outing by Smith for the victory over East Boston as the Braves clinch a postseason birth in consecutive seasons.

A great matchup in Peabody after a last minute field change pitted Hueston vs Smith. Hueston started strong throwing 3 scoreless. Knights jumped out in the 1st on a leadoff single and a double. Knights add another in the 3rd. Braves finally got to Hueston in the 4th plating 3 on a bases loaded HBP and a Lee 2 run single. Braves add an insurance run in the 5th on a SAC Fly by Tracy to score Uberti. Smith (3 H, 2 R, 8 K) let up a single and double in the 1st and another double in the 3rd but would shut the door on the Knights for the rest of the game facing just one more than the minimum over the last 4 frames.

Lee (3-4, 2 RBI) and Uberti (2-3, R) continued their hot streaks at the plate for the Braves.

Paulino, Mercado (2B) and Harris (2B) had the hits for the Knights

WALTHAM, MA...In game 2 of their doubleheader the Knights faced the red hot Brighton Braves for the first time this season. The Braves brought in a 9 game winning streak with them into Brandeis looking to extend the winning streak to 10. Taking the bump for the Knights was Steve Hueston. The Braves countered with Pete Lankarge.

The Braves would strike first plating a run in the first to jump out to a quick 1-0 lead. The Knights countered scoring 2 in the bottom of the frame to take a 2-1 lead. The Knights added another in the 4th on a long triple by Ace DiNapoli to make it 3-1. The Braves clawed back in the game in the fifth scoring 4 runs capped by a scorching double to right centerfield by Ted Tracy to take a 5-3 lead.

The Knights answered the bell in the bottom of the inning scoring 4 runs of their own on 6 consecutive hits to retake the lead 7-5. Closer Corey Laliberte went 1-2-3 in the 7th for his second save on the day.

WALTHAM, MA...The Knight traveled to Brandeis University to face the Boston Dodgers in game one of a day night double header. Sean Hannon was the story for the Knights going 5 strong innings only allowing 1 run (unearned) on 3 hits keeping the Dodgers bats off balance all game.

The Knights struck right away against Kyle Breidenstine collecting 2 runs on 4 hits in the first inning. The Dodgers cut the lead in the 4th scoring an unearned run to make the score 2 - 1. The Knights would add insurance in the 5th on a Brad Tardugno RBI single, his second on the day.

Kenny Luongo would pitch a perfect 6th to hold the lead for closer Corey Laliberte, who pitch a 1-2-3, 7th inning for his 3rd save. Knights win 3 - 1.

EAST BOSTON, MA..The Knights hosted the Revere Rockies at East Boston Stadium sending Sean Perkins to the bump to face off against Adam Del Rio. Both pitchers pitched well thru the first 3 frames before the offense caught up. Leading 1 - 0 in the 4th inning the Knights plated 4 runs capped by a mammoth triple by Ben McBride, who got throw out at the plate to end the inning trying to stretch the triple into a homerun, to take a 5 - 0 lead. The Rockies would not go away scoring 4 runs of their own in the top of the 5th. Perkins struggled loading the bases and giving way to fire baller Shawn Carlson. Carlson walked in 2 runs but quickly settled down retiring the next 3 batters to get out of a bases loaded jam with no outs to preserve the 1 run lead. Corey Laliberte came on in the 7th and retired the top of the Rockies order 1-2-3 for the save. Knights win 5 - 4.

Geoff Lopes had two hits, a walk, 2 RBI's and 2 Runs Scored to lead the offense. Keith Kelly also picked up 2 hits.

Delaney to Garber to Roman twice for the Maddog's 26th and 27th double plays of the year.

The Dogs are not quite dead yet!

The Rockies would get on the board in the 2nd on an RBI single by Gary Moran. That is all Chris Sandini would need as he fired a complete game shutout, striking out 10 to pick up the win.

Rockies would plate 2 more runs in the 3rd on RBI's from Chris Santosuosso and Alex Wong. Gary Moran would knock in his 2nd run on the day in the 5th as he led the way offensively for the Rocks going 3-3 on the day w 2Rbi's.

Adam Del Rio and Mike Roberts each chipped in with 2 hits apiece as well.

Dorchester, MA....The Knights traveled to Ronan Park to host the West Roxbury Nationals in the first meeting of these 2 franchises. Sean Hannon took the rock for the Knights facing off against Steve Palladino.

The Knights plated one early on a double by Kenny Polanco that scored Ben McBride all the way from first base. The Nationals countered with 3 runs in the top of the 2nd jumping on a Knights error to take the early 3 - 1 lead. The Knights then score single runs in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th to take a 4 - 3 lead they would not relinquish. Sean Hannon settled in after the 2nd and tamed the Nationals bats lasting 5 innings in the desert heat. Sean Carlson pitched the 6th inning stranding a runner on 3rd base with no out by striking out the side. Cory Laliberte came on in the 7th to close the game and earning his first career save as a Knight.

Kenny Polanco (3-4, 2B, 1R, RBI) stayed red hot earning his 12th RBI in his last 7 games

Roxbury, MA..The Knights traveled to the South End to face off against the Astros at Jim Rice Field in the 2nd game of a home and home series. The Knights sent Branden Eaton to the bump to face off against Julio Carmona. Eaton allowed a leadoff homerun to Rommel Peguero and settled in nicely after that only allowing an unearned run in the 4th. This was a pitchers dual for most of the night as Carmona kept the Knights off balance for a solid 6 innings.

The Knights then mounted another comeback against the Astros. Matty Rodriguez led the inning off against fireballer Eddy Morrobel and was hit by a pitch to start the rally. Morrobel would then walk the next 2 batters to load the bases. The Astros would make the call to the bullpen bringing in Mike Rizzo setting the stage for Jose Paulino. Paulino would then lace a double to right center field to score 2 runs to tie the game. The Knights score 2 more to take a 4-2 lead to win the game.

East Boston, MA...After almost a 6 week hiatus from East Boston Stadium the Knights returned to their home field to face off against division rival South Boston Saints. Knights pitcher Branden Eaton faced off against Chris Dupay and cruised through a complete game 3 hit win. Eaton kept the Saints bats silent all night with the exception of a Kent Graham deep fly ball that got lost in the sky and dropped in for a triple with no outs in the 4th inning. Graham eventually scored to give the Saints a 1 - 0 lead. The Knights would then explode for 8 hits and 6 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning batting around and taking a 6 - 1 lead they would not relinquish. They would add a run in the 5th to push the lead to 7 - 1. Ben McBride led the attack for the Knights going 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, 2 runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base. Kenny Polanco added 2 hits of his own along with 2 RBI. Knights win 7 - 1.

Waltham, MA....After winning the first of the Split entrance double header the Knights were poised to complete the sweep on the day facing off against the pesky McKay Club. Kenny Luongo took the rock for the Knights and got the job done. Luongo went 5 innings allowing 4 runs (2 earned) and was the beneficiary of some offensive fireworks provided by the offense. The Knights plated 4 runs in the 2nd and single runs in the 4th and 5th chasing ace pitcher Greg Dubella in the 3rd inning. That would not be all for the Beacons as they clawed back into the game with 3 runs in the 4th but a bases loaded double by Brad Tardugno put the game out of reach. Things got interesting in the top of the 7th with the Beacons down 11 - 4 scoring 3 runs and at one time had the tying run on deck. Cory Laliberte worked though some trouble but got the job done for the home town team. The Knights win 11 - 7 sweeping the all-important division double header.

Waltham, Ma....The Knights hosted the South Boston Saints in the first game of a split entrance double header vs division opponents at their home away from home Brandeis University. Sean Hannon took the bump for the home town team and he proved why he is one of the best in the business. Hannon went the distance allowing 1 run (unearned) silencing the Saints bats while allowing his team to hang around and have a chance to win with a walk off victory. Tied 1 a piece in the bottom of the 7th, Brad Tardugno led off with a single and after a fielders choice that put the winning run on 2nd with 2 out Geoff Harris lined a single to right field to clinch the game for the Knights. Knights win 2 -1.

Brighton, MA....The Knights traveled to Rodgers Park to complete the home and home series against the Black Sox. The Knights sent Steve Hueston to the bump and the Sox countered with Collin Geagan. Both pitchers did well but Hueston stole the show cruising through 7 innings earning the complete game victory keeping the Sox off balance all night.

Offensively for the Knights Wilson Mercado (2-3, BB, 1R, 1 RBI) continued his torrid pace and is now batting an even .400 on the season. Eduardo Colmenares also chipped in with 2 hits and an RBI of his own while playing stout defense behind the plate.

WALTHAM, MA....The Knights traveled to Brandeis for a home game vs the Brighton Black Sox. Taking the ball for the Knights was Kenny Luongo. Luongo went 5 strong allowing 4 runs, 2 earned. The Black Sox took advantage of some mistakes by the Knights defense to score 3 runs in the top of the second to take a 3 - 1 lead. The Knights fought back scoring 2 in the bottom of the 2nd on a Brad Tardugno single to leftcenter field. The Black Sox would tie things up in the 5th and Corey Laliberte would take over for Luongo in the 6th inning. Laliberte was solid especially in the top of the 7th with the bases loaded striking out pinch hitter Melo to end the inning. Ace DiNapoli would lead off the bottom of the 7th dropping a perfect bunt down the 3rd base line to give the Knights a runner one 1st with no out. Kenny Polanco would draw a walk to put runners on 1st and 2nd, setting the stage for Brad Tardugno to single home the winning run in walkoff

The Dodgers ride the "Parkway" to a 6-4 win over the Knights at Brandeis. "Parkway" Merritt threw 5 strong giving up only 3 hits and no earned runs. The Dodgers start with a 3-0 lead after 1, with RBIs from Defusco and zDubin.

The Knights answer in the 3rd with 4 runs: Willie Mercado who doubled in the tying runs with a gap shot to right, then scored on another double by Jon Scull.

The Dodgers get the lead back in the 5th on a double to left by Nick "Saget" Tapper, scoring Ryan and Shatto who had both reached via walks. Tapper stays scorchingly handsome: 3-for-4 w/ 2 runs and 2 rbi.

The Knights got 1-hit ball from Max Ockner for 2 innings, keeping the game close. But Brendan "Hoser" Huber popped his maple-flavored cherry earning his 1st career save south of the border throwing the last 2 frames. Marc Skipper triumphantly secures the final out on a pop up with the potential tying run at bat.

DORCHESTER, MA..The Knights and Minutemen faced off on a hot and steamy evening at Ronan Park for the first of 2 games between the clubs this season. The Knights sent Sean Hannon to the bump for the home town team and he did not disappoint. Hannon went 5 innings allowing 1 run (unearned) capturing his first win of the season. Kenny Luongo pitched the 6th and 7th striking out the side in the 7th to close out the game for the Knights.

The Knights trailing 1 - 0 in the 4th inning exploded for 5 runs in the frame capped off by a Brad Tardungo double laced to left-centerfield to drive in 2. Jose Paulino, Kenny Polonco and Wilson Mercado all had 2 hits for the Knights as they went on to win 7 - 4.

WALTHAM, MA.....The Knights and Bulldogs traveled to Brandeis University to finish a suspended game from June 16th at Pine Banks due to a bank of lights being out.

The Knights led 2 - 0 coming into the top of the forth inning after a strong performance by newcomer Shawn Carlson and relief pitcher Corey Laliberte. Branden Eaton relieved them starting this suspended game and pitched great after shaking off the cobwebs in the 4th inning. Eaton went the distance earning his 2nd win of the season.

Offensively for the Knights Jose Paulino has 2 hits and drove in a run and Wilson Mercado stays hot with 3 hits and 2 RBI in the contest.

A's overcome a Ben McBride bomb grand slam to put up 7 in the 6th and hold on for a 9-6 win over East Boston.

Freddi Carrera led the way with 4 hits and 3 stolen bases, while Dan Gaughan held the Knights at bay for the last 2 innings to preserve the win.

EAST BOSTON, MA.....After starting the season 2 and 2 on their 4 game road trip to open the season the Knights returned home after an 11 day layoff to face off against division foe Savin Hill in the blazing heat at East Boston Stadium.

The Knights sent Sean Hannon to the bump to face off against Nate Hoder. Hannon went 3 innings striking out 8 allowing only one hit in his season debut for the Knights. Newcomers Corey Laliberte and Max Ocner combined along with Steve Hueston to finish off the job Hannon started. In all Knights pitching allowed only 2 hits and struck out 15 Hornets on the night. Laliberte struck out the side in the 4th inning making his first ever appearance as a Knight.

Offensively the Knights bats went cold. Chris Dowd hit a shot that got by the left fielder for an RBI triple. Dowd now leads the YBL in RBI with 8. Jared Kenney chipped in with 2 RBI and Geoff Harris stole 2 bases on the night.

Lamarre Rey picks up his first win as an Alibrandi throwing 4 innings on 41 total pitches. Sullivan pitches the next two and Tanguy picks up the Save.

DesRoches hits a 2 run homerun in the 1st to put Somerville up 2-0 and an insurance run added in the fifth on a Dziuba sac fly plating Mendonca.

Steve Rogers checks in with Alibrandis after a great career at Trinity with an opposite field double off the fence.

Couple of great double plays turned by Addesa, Rogers and Cunningham. Cunningham played great defense all night.

DORCHESTER, MA.......The Knights continued thier 5 game road trip to start the season traveling to McConnell Park to face off against division rival McKay Club Beacons.

The Knights playing with a short handed crew came prepared to play as they sent ace Branden Eaton to the bump for his first start of the season and he did not disappoint. Branden worked 5 shutout innings allowing 4 hits and striking out 9. The offense did the rest.

Jose Paulino led the way reaching base safely all 4 times and scoreing 4 runs for the Knights. Chris Dowd was 4 for 4 with 4 RBI and now leads the YBL with 7 in 3 games.

Next up for the Knights Monday night at Trum vs Somerville.

DORCHESTER, MA...The East Boston Knights traveled to Savin Hill to face off against the Hornets for the first of 3 games between these 2 teams. Mcconnell Park was an ice box as newcomer Kenny Loungo took the ball for the first time this season. After a shakey first inning (3 walks to load the bases) he settled down to pitch 4 solid innings of no hit baseball. He struck out the side in the 3rd on 12 pitches and finished the night with 8 k's in 4 innings. Another new comer Carter Machado pitched one inning fanning 2 to preserve the 13 to 2 victory. Knights pitching fanned 10 Hornets in just 5 innings.

Offensivley the Knights banged out 13 runs on 13 hits taking advantage of some poor defense by the Hornets. Paulino, DiNapoli and Dowd all had multiple hit games with Dowd leading the way with 3 RBI.

The Knights continue thier 4 game road trip to start the season against the pesky McKay Club right back at Mcconnell on Friday.

Chris Dion goes the distance and the Sabers win 3-2 on Opening Day at Recreation Park

Dion threw 7 innings, letting up 4 hits on 1 earned run, while striking out 7 Knights

The Sabers would strike first when they loaded the bases in the 4th. Angelo Colucci would lead off the inning with a walk, Christian Gonzalez would single, and Jon Chapman would get HBP. Joe Parlow would then hit in Colucci and Gonzalez would score on a throwing error

In the 5th the Knights battled back scoring two

Travis Adams would have the game winning hit when he singled in Stefan Botarelli in the bottom of the 5th

Botarelli had 2 hits for Stoneham
