Sheer Madness! Southie took a 5-0 lead that did not hold up at Ronan last night. It was a do-or-die night for Beacons as they trugged thru the 1st 4 innings of play. Rob Stephenson led the way for SB with a mamouth 2 run homer to deep left center field. McKay Club was dead in the water until some defensive mistakes allowed them back into the game.
Beacons scored all their 8 runs in the last 3 innings.
Shawn Raposo smashed a 2RBI single and Jack Owens stole home to win the game after Beacons were behind once again in the bottom of the 7th (7-4). A comback that allows the Beacons to live another day. |
