A great pitchers duel. Talal Saleh and Matt Borto battled into the 8th inning, both putting up goose eggs. After giving up 2 singles in the top of the 7th with 2 outs, Saleh gave way to Miles Whitlock who got the last out.
Borto began the last of the 8th by getting a ground ball out. Buddy Hanley then reached on an infield error. Mike Hudd hit into a fielder's choice for the second out and then Joe Pasciucco launched a double into the right center field gap that scored Hudd with the game winner.
This win gave the Maddogs their 20 victory making it 3 Seasons in a row with at least 20 wins. |

Brookline wins their 6th in a row with great pitching and an amazing offensive output to continue their streak. Marty Whitmore started the game and did an unbelievable job controling a very potent offense, and kept the Sox at bay, while Shaun Farrar came in to close it out for the last 2+ innings.
The Dodgers exploded for 7 runs in the 3rd, and kept the pressure on all night long against a very good pitcher in Gills. Shatto, Ryan, and Ramsey led the Brookline offense with 2 hits a piece, and 5 other Dodgers had one hit each throughout the night. Shatto hit a HUGE triple in the 7th to put Brookline up by 3, and tremendous pitching by Farrar closed everything out in the bottom of the inning.
Smith and Paolucci each had 3 hits for the Sox, while 5 other Sox had one hit a piece as well. |

THE TWO HOTTEST TEAMS IN THE YAWKEY LEAGUE HOOKED UP FOR A GREAT GAME AT ROGERS PARK. THE BOMBERS ONCE AGAIN CAME FROM BEHIND TO BEAT THE BLACK SOX 4-2 IN EXTRAS AS BOMBER PITCHERS MIKE LUSH AND MIKE MISH WORKED OUT OF BASES LOADED JAMS DURING THE CONTEST TO GET THE W. EAST BOSTON USED THEIR SMALL BALL GAME TO TIE AND TAKE THE LEAD WITH 3 BUNTS TO MOVE THE RUNNERS AROUND AND THE YAWKEY LEAGUES LEADING RBI MAN MIKE NAVARRO CAME THROUGH WITH A SAC FLY IN THE EIGHTH. BLACK SOX PITCHER COLIN EASTMANN PITCHED A GUTTY GAME FOR THE SOX KEEPING THEM IN POSITION TO WIN, BUT MIKE MISH DID WHAT HE HAS DONE ALL YEAR FOR THE BOMBERS IN RELIEF, GET OUTS IN HIS THREE INNINGS OF WORK. PLAYOFF ATMOSPHERE AS THESE TWO COULD BE SEEING EACH OTHER AGAIN. |
