Brian Powers had 3 hits and Andy Doyle reached base 3 times and scored 2 runs as the A's beat the Devils 5-3.

Aidan Powers threw a 6-inning 5-hitter to post the victory, while Paul Bonner tossed a scoreless 7th for the save.

With the win, the A's take the series and move on to the semifinals.

Shawn Raposo banged out 2 more hits and made several great plays at third for West Roxbury.

John Kostas tossed a complete game 6-hitter, allowing 2 earned runs as the A's defeated the Devils 6-3.

Chris Bucci singled in Matt Thayer in the first inning, and the Al Thomas Club tacked on 5 runs on 7 hits in the 2nd inning.

Bucci led the offense with a single, double and 2 rbi, while 6 players collected a hit each as the A's take a 2-0 lead in the series.

Bill Clang settled down and retired the last 10 batters for West Roxbury, while Souto added 2 hits and Phil Davies blasted a triple to right field.

Having been down 2 games to none last year in the 1st round of the playoffs, and coming back to win, the A's know that this series is far from over against a tough WR team.

Chris Malloy crushed a 2-run homer in the 1st inning to give rookie Scott Jamieson a lead he would not relinquish as the A's beat West Roxbury 8-3.

Andy Doyle's 2-out 2-rbi single in the 4th gave the Al Thomas Club a couple of insurance runs, and Greg Lovely slammed a 3-run homer in the 6th to put the game away.

Lovely added a double and an rbi single, while Malloy also cracked a double. Doyle, Mark Daly and Chris Bucci chipped in with 2 hits apiece.

Jamieson scattered 5 hits in a complete game, allowing 2 earned runs with 6 k's.

Shawn Raposo and Mike Ryan each had 2 hits to lead the Devils.

A pair of playoff teams matched up at Ross Field on Monday Night, and it was the Bluefish that came out victorious, 4-3, over the West Roxbury Devils. The winning run scored from third when Omar Kennedy got into a rundown between 1st and 2nd long enough for Dan Sweeney to make it home from 3rd. Dan Lambrecht pitched all 9 innings for the win, giving up 8 hits, 3 runs (all unearned), while walking 0 and striking out 5. Offensively, the Bluefish got multiple hit games from Jeremy Creveling (2 hits), Al Becker (2 hits), and Sean Glavin (2 hits). Phil Davies and Shawn Raposo each had 2 hits in defeat for West Roxbury.

Luke Guarino pitches his second complete game shutout of the season. He allowed just 2 hits over the 7 innings, while striking out 9 batters. AJ Bucciarelli was a perfect 4-4 at the plate with 2RBI. Kyle Philson went 3-4 with 2R and 1 RBI. Great defense at SS by Sean Magee, at 3B by Kevin Spitz, and at 1B by Gary Moran stopped all West Roxbury rallies.

Somerville lead by a dominating preformance by pitcher Marc DesRoches, 1 hit 11k's facing the minumun amount of batters(21) was all they needed on this night.
Multiple hit game were Tom McDonough, Mike Feetham and Scott Rodgers with 2 hits apiece.......Rbi's were Kevin White(2), McDonough, Feetham and Rodgers.

Best game of the year for the defending champs.

Rockwell pitched well for the Devils.
