Jon Morse pitched 6 gutsy innings for the win tonight. But the game was in doubt until the 6th. The Knights Jon Shepard pitching a shutout through 5 innings look very much in control. Alibrandis' Mike Maguire started the top of the 6th with a walked. Kevin Salines tripled to right center scoring Maguire to tie the score at 1-1. Then the Knights decided to intentional walk both Teddy Dziuba & Marc DesRoches to load the bases. It produces a quick out. Logan Gillis then worked a walk to score Salines with the go ahead run. Stan DeMartinis then proceeded to drop a single into left field scoring Dziuba & DesRoches making the score 4-1. Morse pitched a perfect 6th inning before giving way to Alibrandis closer Brian Tanguy to seal the deal in the 7th.
Congratulations go out to the East Boston Knights on a terrific season. Somerville now waits for the winner of the Revere/Al Thomas series to see who they will be facing in this years Final.
