Missing 3 starters, and coming off a crushing 8 inning defeat the night before, the Astros needed a miracle...and got it!

Alex Weldon threw 147 pitches in 9 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 run in the 2nd inning, and single handedly won the game for the Astros tonight!

Offensively Politsopoulos, Rodriguez, and Weldon had 1 hit each, but the biggest hit came off the bat of...who else....Chris Deane! Deane drove in the winning run in the top of the 9th, and ended his night 2-4. A much needed, hard fought, and ballsy win for the Astros against a scrappy Malden team!
