An old fashioned pitchers duel. Tyler Middleton went five innings for his first YBL win, striking out 5, allowing 5 singles, 2 on broken bats and 2 in the infield and one hit batter. Sean Gildea came on and pitched a perfect 6th and 7th inning for the save.

Steve Szathmary threw 6 strong innings for Somerville, striking out 2, giving up 4 hits and walking 3.

Johnny Cunningham was the offensive player of the game for Medford with a hit and a walk along with 2 stolen bases and the only run scored in the game.

Luongo, Hanley and Hudd also had hits for the Maddogs.

Sargeant Eamonn McDonough pitched his final game this season as he returns to Iraq to defend his Country.

Eamonn went 6 innings giving up 1 run, a home-run by Kimbro, allowed only 3 hits, walked 1 and struck out 6. Eamonn pitched in 4 games during his 2 week leave finishing with a 2-0 record with 1 save.

Eamonn is a model Teammate, an outstanding pitcher and a great American.

Maguire and Hudd led the Medford offense with 3 hits each. Cunningham scored 2 more runs, giving him a League leading 32 on the season.

Talal Saleh picks up his 6th win of the season. "T" gave up a couple of early runs but settled in and pitched into the 6th inning.

McDonough finished the 6th and Tyler Middleton came in and pitched the 7th.

Cunningham had 3 hits and scored 2 runs giving him 30 runs on the season. Chris Wood, Lucas Einstein and Jay Sablone each had 2 hits.

Lambert pitched very well for the A's.

Luongo had an RBI double and Crovo made the defensive play of the game with a sliding catch of a sinking liner in right field which he turned into a double play by throwing to first.

The Big Train, The Unit, The Ogre, The "E" Dog, Eamonn McDonough returned from Iraq and threw a complete game. The Dogs could have made it easier on Eamonn and not committed 3 errors which led to 3 unearned runs. Sargeant McDonough finished with 8 K's and only 2 walks. Not a bad job after being off for two years.

Offensively the Dogs put together 18 hits, 6 walks and a hit batter. Maguire, Sablone, Cunningham and Kelley each had 3 hits. Hanley and Gusdorf each had 2 hits. Crovo had 2 walks and was hit by a pitch.

A gutsy Savin Hill Team never quit and battled the entire night.

This was the 6th win in a row for Medford.

Talal Saleh gets his fourth win with an 8 inning complete game. Talal struck out 9 and walked no one.

Montero was the hard luck loser, he also went the complete 8 innings, striking out 7 and walking 6.

Martinez homered for the South End and Kenny Luongo homered with one out in the 8th for the game winner.

Both Marc Crovo and Mike Maguire had assists from the outfield.
