The RI Warriors topped the Menchie's Rockies 13-3 with 12 hits in the ballgame, winning both games of their series in a slaughter rule.

There's nothing better than a pitcher's duel on a hot summer day; and that's exactly what took place today as both starter's threw a superb game backed up by great defense all around.
Hayden Namaka pitched 6 innings of 1 run ball and Mike Coyne finished the game, picking up the win.
Anthony Crudale went 2-3 with a Sac Bunt, setting up the tying run at second base in the 8th inning.
Armand Vaziri came off the bench and got the game-tying RBI with a double to Left-Center, and later scored a Run.
Felix Guzman went 1-4 with a 2-RBI double to take the lead, along with a Run scored.
James Roberto extended his hit streak to 7 games going 1-4 with a RBI double.
Peter Esposito went 2-4 with a Run scored.
The Warriors also turned 2 double-plays and got 3 runners out at the plate; one by Center Fielder Ryan D'Alessandro, making that his second OF assist to the plate this season. |

With 15 hits in the ballgame, the Warriors' bats came alive and topped off the Rockies 14-3.
Felix Guzman went 2-5 with a 2B, RBI and 4 Runs scored.
James Roberto went 2-4 with a BB and 4 RBI.
Ryan D'Alessandro went 2-4 with a 2B, BB, 4 RBI and a Run scored.
Mike Coyne went 2-4 with a Sac Fly and 2 RBI.
Aaron Perfetto went 2-3 with a BB and 3 Runs scored.
Steven Perfetto left early due to a back strain, but pitched four effective innings of no run ball with 5 swing and misses.
Aaron Rossi picked up the win in relief bringing his ERA to a studly 0.931 in 19.1 IP. |

The RI Warriors beat the Rhody Reds 6-5 in this back and forth duel to the end. The Warriors' bats came alive today with 9 out of the total 11 Warriors having at least one hit in the game.
Armand "Persian Prince" Vaziri went 1-3 with 2 BB, 2 R, RBI and 2 SB.
James 'The Mammoth" Roberto went 1-3 with a BB, RBI, R and SB.
Bobby "Mr. Versatile" Ray went 2-4 with 2 R, SB and did a job behind the dish with no catchers available for the game.
John "Frieght Train" Keefe in his first career RIIABL start went 1-3 with a RBI.
Two key moments took place in the game: The first in the top of the 7th inning, where both Vaziri and Roberto got on base and successfully pulled off the double steal, later scoring for the tying and winning run. The second coming in the bottom of the 9th inning, where Ryan "Dirt Dog" D'Alessandro (who also went 2-4 in the ballgame), threw out the tying run at home plate with an absolute laser beam of a throw. |
