The Sabers would get on the board first on a Colucci RBI fielder's choice to plate Pizarro, who reached base on an error to lead off the game. The Sabers would grab some much needed insurance in the 6th. Lenane would lead off the inning with a double. Creamer would then hit a RBI single to score Lenane. The Black Sox would threaten with the bases loaded, but Brundige would get Zamperelli to pop out to Colucci to end the game. Brundige earned the save and struck out 2 batters. Nicholson was the tough luck loser for Brighton, striking out 9 Sabers.

McNamara tossed 6 shutout innings to earn the win.
