Captain Ryan Flanagan goes the distance to even the best of 5 series at 1-1

Flanagan struck out 8 on 2 hits to earn the win.

A Curtis Tirone double, followed by an Agiorgousis Sac-Fly got the Sabers on the board first.

Agiorgousis would add another RBI single in the 5th, before Powers hit a clutch 2 RBI double.

Foote and Villa would help the Rockies cut the lead the to 2, but Flanagan was able to bear down.

The series shifts to Maplewood tomorrow night at 8PM.

Sweet Lu with a complete game to send the Sabers to their 5th semi finals in 9 years!

Nick Powers led the Sabers' offense with 3 hits, 2 RBI, 2 SB and a run scored.

Luis Gil had 9 strikeouts to earn his first career YBL playoff win.

Congrats to John Moore and Dave McKay on another playoff season for the McKay Club.

Stoneham will travel to Revere Saturday and Sunday for the start of a best of 5 semi-finals series.

McKay would strike first in the 2nd. Vasquez would double off the wall and later score.

Flanagan would plate Gil in the 3rd to tie the game for Stoneham.

Tirone's 2 RBI double in the 5th put the Sabers ahead for good.

Game 2 of the series will resume tomorrow night at Maplewood.

DaSilva, White and Tirone step up for the Stals on the mound to help them edge the Braves 9-8

Saber come from behind in the 6th, on clutch hits by Grainger, Chapman and Barnes to tie the ball game.

In the 7th, Creamer would hit a go ahead RBI single, followed by a Luis Gil launched 2 RBI double for insurance.

The Braves threatened with the bases loaded and 2 outs, but Tirone was able to bear down for the Save.

White earns his first win of the season.

Moreno had a HR in the loss for Brighton.

Christopher Monroe spins a complete game gem to win a pitcher's duel 2-0.

Monroe doesn't allow a runner to reach second base and scattered 4 hits, while striking out 7 to earn his 3rd win of the season.

The game was a stalemate until Josh Doyle would smash a game winning 2 RBI triple. The triple was set up by a Barnes leadoff bunt single and Chapman single.

Shaw pitched well in the loss for Southie.
