SOUTH END.....Opening day for the Knights and Astros saw both teams trotting out number one pitchers as Vic Mendez took the ball for Eastie vs Starling Arias. The Knights took a quick 1-0 lead for the Knights as rookie CF Victor LeBron led off with a walk stole 2B and scored on a Willie Mercado single. Victor LeBron would later hit a 2 out 3 run HR in the 4th inning to break the game open 4-0. That would be all the offense that the Knights would need as Vic Mendez was dominant on this day through 5 innings of no hit ball. He would give way to Edward Cruz and Jon Shepard who both came in to seal the victory for the Knights.
