Malden's hard throwing pitcher Rob Mondello's pitches were on target as he fanned 8 Hornet batters in 4 innings of work. Despite the K's the Hornets staked their tall lanky rookie hurler Nate Young to a 4 -1 lead thru 4. But, the Hornets couldn't hold off the Dogs who plated the tieing run in the 6th. The game was then called in the bottom of the eighth when a thick wet fog rolled into the field obscuring vision and forcing a halt to the game. Officially the game revereted back to the end of the 7th and was declared a tie. The Hornets recorded a season high 10 assists in the game and would have had two more in the eighth if the inning had been completed.
