Jim Selig got the Royals their first win of the season with a strong 5 innings of work. Selig struck out 13 batters and walked 7 on his way to victory before handing the ball over to Matt Manganelli who earned his first save of the season. The Royals were led offensively by Pat Sueltenfuss with 2 hits and 2 RBI's and also Paul DiPrizio with 2 base hits.
