Harbor Point Dodgers 9, Revere Rockies 7
The Dodgers hold off the Rockies today on a scorching hot day in Revere. Brookline jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the 2nd, but Revere battled back to make it 5-3 in the 3rd. After that, however, Brookline was able to keep scoring runs, and held off a 7th inning push by Revere.
Jerrad Ryan led the Dodger offense going 2 for 2, with 3 runs, 3 walks, and 4 SB's. Bryan Duffy had 3 RBI's, and Marty Whitmore was 1 for 1 with 4 walks. Shaun Farrar pitched great in the heat, and kept a lot of the Rockies off balance, while striking out 4, and only walking 2. Whitmore came in with 1 out in the 7th to record his first save of the season, after the Rockies scored 4 and had the tying run on second.
