The Braves and Maddogs played to a 6-6 tie after play was suspended by the umpires after 7 innings due to darkness. Tied 0-0 after 3, there were 5 lead changes in the last 4 innings. The Maddogs got on the board first with a run in the 4th while the Braves took the lead with 3 of their own in the bottom of the inning. Medford tied it up in the 5th with the Braves again taking the lead 5-3 after 5. Medford proceeded with 1 run in the 6th and 2 in the 7th to take a 6-5 lead. With one out in the bottom of the 7th, Ted Tracy (2-4, 2 3B, 2 R) ripped a triple down the left field line. Jeff Cashman (3-4, 3B, 2 R, 2 RBI) then singled to score Tracy to tie the game.
