Rookie Steve Lambert earned his first YBL victory with a complete game 5-hitter as the Al Thomas Club beat the Brighton Sox 4-2. John Foley and Bubba Muse had run-scoring singles, while Bobby Barrett and Chuck Killens stroked doubles. Lambert helped his own cause with a walk and a single. Nicholson pitched well in a losing effort.
