This is why we play baseball. A great game. Brennan held the Maddogs down with a great pitching effort for 5 innings. Leading off the 6th, Jay Sablone singled, Bud Hanley got hit by a pitch and Mike Hudd and Joe Pasciucco singled to get the Maddogs within two. Going into the 7th down 4-2, lead-off hitter Marc Crovo walked, Johnny Cunningham followed with a single and with one out both Sablone and Hanley singled to tie it up. Hudd followed with a sac fly to put the Dogs ahead. In the bottom half of the 7th Laroque, Michel and Higgins all walked for the Hornets loading the bases before Saleh got a ground ball to Cunningham at second to end the game. Saleh improves his record to 6-0 by going the distance, walking 9 and striking out 7. Brennan was the tough luck loser.
