DR. SHOLL RESCUES HORNETS Hornet's southpaw Jay Sholl, referred to by his teammates as Dr. Sholl, paid a housecall at McConnell Park throwing a shutout. Sholl got outstanding errorless defensive help from his team against the hard hitting South Boston Saints team (2nd lowest strikouts in the league). Southie's home game at Ronan Park moved to McConnell due to massive puddling at Ronan. Both teams assisted in clearing up a pre-game mud pie at 3rd base to get the field ready for play. Much credit goes to SH's Paul Tritter and SB's Mark Nickerson and an unidentified SB player who did most of the work. Outstanding veteran SB pitcher Mark Nickerson, had both positive and negative results as he K'd 10 Hornets but gave up 11 hits to take the loss.
