HORNETS BUMP BREWERS Hornet pitcher Mike Stefaniak (Tufts) both wins and saves his own game versus a very tough 1st place Brewers team. Stefaniak, who was throwing a shutout until the 7th, was removed from the mound after giving up two runs on two hits, two walks, a fly ball out and a hit batter leaving the bases loaded with the tying run on second and one out. 3B Paul (Tags) Tagliaferi and Stefaniak switched positions as Tags went to the mound looking for the save. But Brewer leadoff hitter Fenton grounded to third where an alert 3B Stefaniak stepped on third and fired a high throw to first which just nipped Fenton's wild sprint to the base. So, Stefaniak saved his own game. Brewer's All Star catcher Tony Iafolla proved his reputation as he mowed down the speedy Hornet team by gunning down two runners trying to steal 2B. As they say in the YBL... Anyone can beat anyone.
