Savin Hill came out quick jumping on Chelsea's starter Mike Terrio who was making his first appearance of the season on the mound. Savin Hill got to Terrio for 5 runs, knocking him out after only 2/3rds of an inning. Chelsea turned to rookie pitcher Ryan Baker who pitcher 3 1/3 innings with 7ks and 3 walks and veteran Kevin McGovern who went 3 innings striking out 3 and walking none. Baker and McGovern held Savin Hill off the board and kept them hitless over, while the Chelsea offense battled back into the game. With 2 outs in the 3rd inning Chris Santos hit a monster shot to left center scoring 2 runs.
