HORNETS UP-END BEACONS After the scorching heat of the day it was a beautifully air conditioned evening at Ronan Park as a refreshing cool breeze coming off the Bay offerred the players a respite from the weather. The game offerred up some peculiarities too as both teams struck opponents pitchers for 11 hits while the Beacons scored 2 runs off those hits the Hornets managed to plate 11 runs. To make the run totals seem even more myserious the Beacons had only 4 strike-outs while the Honets wiffed 11 times. So it goes in the YBL, never a dull moment, take nothing for granted.
