The most heated rivalry in the YBL locked up for another classic tonight in front of the Comcast cameras with East Boston defeating South Boston 3-1. The Blue Sox have rallied to win late in the game 3 times this week. The Sox were trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the 5th with one out when Dave DiCenso reached on Romero's error, Mike Vatalaro walked, Pat Moore followed with an RBI FC, Moore then stole second and came all the way around to score on an errant throw from Murphy that skipped by the CF giving the Sox a 2-1 lead. The Sox padded the lead in the 6th with a single from Chris Bucci and an RBI single from Mike Navarro. Jason Pokrant was outstanding for the Blue Sox on the mound going 6 strong innings allowing only 1 run and striking out 3. Paul "Game Over" Todesco came in for his 2nd save of the season. Jon Tenney pitched very well for Southie going the distance allowing just 3 hits but his defense let him down.
