Sun, 25 June, 5:00PM, at Recreation Park
Stoneham Sabers 5, South Boston Saints 1
Dionys Quezada hits a 3 run home run, that easily cleared Recreation Park's fence into the trees, as the Sabers defeat the Saints 5-1. Quezada is the first known player to hit a home run over the property line fencing.
Quezada stole the show, but Dave Montiverdi pitched 6 strong to earn the win. Montiverdi scattered 4 hits on 1 run, striking out 2 to earn his 2nd win of the season.
The Saints would score first on a Eschen single in the 3rd.
In the 5th, Tommy Lenane would smash a RBI triple to score Agiorgousis to knot up the game. He would then score on a passed ball. Angelo Colucci and Jon Chapman would then reach base to set up the games biggest hit. Quezada would smash a 3 run homer that would be about a 430 foot blast to put the game away.
Lyndon Brundige would then come in to close out the game in the 7th.
