Greg Lovely doubled in Bubba Muse in the top of the 7th to put the A's up 3-2 for good in a tight battle over the defending champion Somerville Alibrandi's. Aidan Powers threw 5.1 hitless innings before settling for a gutsy complete game 3-hitter against the best hitting team in the league. Lovely cracked 2 doubles for 2 rbi, while Brian Powers added a triple and single to pace the Al Thomas Club. Chris Malloy chipped in with a double, while Chris Bucci added a base hit, 2 diving catches in center and an assist in throwing a runner out at third base. Bubba Muse ended the game with a diving catch of a foul ball at first base. John Morse pitched a solid game for Somerville, while Dave Scioli and Marc DesRoches drove in the runs.
