Greg Lovely tripled in Chris Bucci, who had singled and stolen second base, with the eventual game-winning run in the top of the 8th inning to give the A's a 3-2 win in extra innings. Aidan Powers came on in the 7th inning to pick up the win in relief of John Kostas, who was masterful over 6 innings, allowing 1 hit while striking out 11. Brian Powers doubled in 2 runs to stake the Al Thomas Club to a 2-0 lead in the 5th, but Cambridge crept back in with 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th. Randy Case pitched a great game in defeat for the Yankees.
