The rain held off long enogh for us to finally get out and play some ball. The 1st 4 innings was nothing but a pitchers dual between the startes, McCarthy vs. Roberts. Heading into the 5th inning McCarthy had the edge 1-0. But the bats came alive for the Rockies as 2 runs were plated on 2 hits, SAC, and 1BB. Dan Jalbert shot his second hit of the game up the middle to record his second RBI of the game. Kyle Philson, Dan Jalbert and Gary Moran all had 2 hits to lead the offense. Mike McCarthy got his forst win of the season, improving his Rockie opening day record to 3-1. Bryan Gauvin got the save in relief. Steve Roberts took the tough loss for the Bluefish.
