The Rhode Island Warriors played another great game today winning 7-6 against the Spartan Trap - racking up 7 extra base hits in the process. Nick Fay aka Dr. Knuckler aka Nicky Knuckles, got the start on the mound, pitching 6+ innings, while allowing 3 Runs (4 Earned) and striking out 4. Things were a bit shaky in the pen and unfortunately cost Fay his well-deserved W. At the plate - Steve Perfetto went a perfect 3-3 with a 2B, BB, and a Run scored. Bobby D'Arezzo went 2-4 with 2 2B's and a Run scored. Ryan D'Alessandro went 2-4 with a 2B, 2 RBI's and a Run scored; while also making a key diving catch to preserve the lead late in the game with two outs. Alex Riqiuer went 2-3 with 2 2B's, a BB, and a RBI. Retsyn Ootton, newcomer from Western Oklahoma State College, went 1-4 with a huge 2-RBI 2B and a Run scored. All in all, the biggest news of the ballgame had to have been the solid display of defense throughout each inning.
