Perry's 2 run HR in the 9th lifts Malden past Al Thomas Roslindale, MA - After allowing a six run lead to disappear, the Malden Bulldogs were able to battle back and win 8-6 over a tough Al Thomas team. Anthony Perry had the big hit of the game as he belted a 0-1 offering from Aidan Powers (L, 0-1) over the left-center fence in the 9th. Perry finished the game going 2-for-4 with a HR and 2 RBIs. Both Brad Tardugno and Mark Brown contributed with 2 hits and a RBI a piece while Kevin Salines, Elliot Shea and Tom Englehardt added RBIs. Evan Tardugno pitched well in his first start of 2011. The right-hander gave up just two hits while striking out six over his five innings of work. Joe Milbury (W, 1-1) pitched the final three innings as he picked up his first win as a Bulldog. Steve Lambert had a solid game for Al Thomas as the reigning YBL MVP went 2-for-5, the only Athletic to record a multi-hit game.
