Although he would add a 2nd RBI later in the game, Nate Laliberte's run scoring single in the first was all the Rockies would need on the day. Laliberte turned in a a two hit, 2 RBI performance. Gary Moran and Dan Jalbert also added 2 hits a piece. Excellent pitching and defense took care of the rest. Nicholson pitched very well for the Sox, throwing a complete game and making very few mistakes, but took a tough loss.
