Mike Sciarappa (1-4) pitched 6 2/3 shut out innings to earn the Royals their first victory of the season. Sciarappa surrendered only 3 hits while striking out 7 and walking 5 on his way to the victory. Kevin McGovern(0-1-1) came in with runners on 1st and 3rd and 2 down in the 7th and got a fly ball to center to seal the victory. The only run of the game came when Paul DiPrizio was hit with the first pitch of the game and was moved along by his teammates. Bo Gillette pitched a gem of his own for Cambridge going the distance allowing only 2hits while striking out 6 and hitting 2 batters.
