Somerville capitalize on miscues from the Bombers to win a hard fought battle in the first of two for the day. Somerville recieved a game effort from Steve Szathmary in recording his 7th victory against no losses. Relief help was provided by Bernie Driscoll getting his 1st save of the year. Offense was set by the table setters Kevin White and Tom McDonough scoring 3 runs and reaching base safely 6 out of 8 times. Scott Rodgers had to hits and reached safely 3 times. Rbi's came by way of Dave Scioli, Mike Feetham and Frank McPherson. Delea pitched a strong game in a losing effort for the Bombers.
