Sabers win a pitchers duel 2-1 and win the series 3-0 Cummings tossed 6 solid innings letting up 1 run on 9 hits while striking out 5 to earn the win and Montiverdi would earn the save Greeley was the tough luck loser giving up only 2 runs The Sabers would strike first with a RBI single by Luciano to score Flanagan The Braves would tie the game on an RBI single by Glantz In the 7th Botarelli would hit a lead off single and steal a base to get into scoring position. Then Flanagan would hit a game winning RBI single to plate Botarelli However, Brighton would threaten with runners on 2nd and 3rd and 1 out when Botelho would hit a fly ball to RF.
