McKay Club waited a long time to kick off 2006. A pitcher's duel between Rookie Adam Kulis (MC) & Pat Higgins (CR) was the order of the night. Both guys matched up well. The only difference was the final score 2-1. Peter Needham led off the game for the Beacons with a single - stole 2B and advanced to 3B on a passed ball. Ben Duggan knocked Pete home with a single. Peter Needham struck a solid single when two were out in the bottom of the 7th. Pete stole second and Duggan did it again. He smashed a solid single to plate Needahm for the victory. Kulis & Higgins locked heads for a memorable encounter! Both kids deserved the victory, but in this game one guy goes home happy and the other guy goes home with a qaulity start and a loss.
