Gary Moran's 2 run homer to right in the first inning got the rockies of to a great start. The Rocks scored all 5 runs in the first and ace Mike McCarthy took over from there. McCarthy struck out 13 Dodgers in 6 innings to improve to 5-0 on the season. Rich Dumas added a two-run double in the first and Bobby Sims drove in the fifth Rockies run on a fielder's choice. Jalbert and Mitrou also added hits for Revere. After a shaky first inning, Dodgers hurler Stephen Defusco settled down and took a tough, complete-game loss.
