A great game played at Rogers Park on Monday night between Harbor Point and Somerville. After a pitchers duel between Dodger Steve DeFusco (W, 3-1) and Somerville starter Isaac Oakley (ND), the two teams needed an extra inning to sort out a 1-1 tie. Somerville broke the scoreless game in the 5th inning with a lead-off single by CF Devon Davis. Davis stole second, and scored on a sac-fly RBI by 2B Bernie Driscoll. Oakley would hold the Dodgers off until the 6th. After stealing second, Dodger CF Jay Shatto scored on a Joe Patrolia double to tie the game at 1-1. DeFusco (CG, 1R, 6H, 6BB, 2K) held the Somerville bats through 8 innings of masterful work, and in the bottom of the 8th, the Dodgers got the big hit. 1B Nick Tapper hit a 2-out walk-off HR to deep right center to win a tremendous game.
