What a baseball game! Rockies rookie lefthander Bobby Sims (5IP, 2H) and Malden's Ken Olisky (5IP, 4H) locked up for a pitchers duel last night a Maplewood. With the Rocks trainling 2-0 going into the bottom of the 7th and the YBL save leader (and former Rockie) Jay Wisner on the mound, the stage was set for drama. Back to back gappers for doubles to lead off the inning by Kevin Spitz and Nate Laliberte brought the Rockies within one. A few batters later and with one out and the bases loaded, Booch's grounder resulted in a close play at the plate with (PR) Frankie Ciampa just beating the throw at home to tie the game. Veteran Dave Mitrou then walked on 5 pitches forcing in the winning run. Rich Dumas notched the win for his 2 innings of relief & Steve D'Entremont hit an impressive homer on a pitch in the dirt for Malden.
