Spinners 5, Grays 4
Spinners win in dramatic fashion with a walk off hit in the bottom of the seventh.
With just 8 players the Grays played a great game, keeping it close the whole way. In the top of the seventh the Grays took the lead on an RBI single by Mike Guinello (4-4 1R, 2RBI, 3SB) needing only to retire the Spinners in the bottom half for the win.
Bonard started the Spinners rally with a lead off walk (his third of the game) and a stolen base. Elder statesman, Mike Knell (2-3 2R, 1RBI), tied the game with a single making his way to second on the throw home. The Grays then intentionally walked O.Caceres, and got M. Tufo out on a fly to left, bringing up Greg Megerdichian. On a 2-0 count, Greg smoked a ball to center for the game winning RBI and getting the Spinners back in the win column. |
