Billy Rolls from the Lynn Lugnuts and Brian Gaudet and Adam Messom of the Cambridge Warriors pitched very well in a old rivalry with new team names. The Lugnuts, led by Rolls' pitching and pickoff move, stayed neck-and-neck with the Warriors throughout the game and with the possible exception of a misplay by the defense/miscall by the umpire/overly agressive baserunning, the game could have ended different. Gaudet and Messom combined to earn the victory with Gaudet helping his own cause with a 3 for 4 night. Nick Mildwoff had the biggest hit of the night, a two-run triple.
