Classic playoff opener between Al Thomas and McKay Club. Down 5-0, Beacons put up 7 in the 6th, but the A's counter with 3 in 7th for an 8-7 win. Matt McDougall shut down the McKay Club for 5 innings, while the A's took a 5-0 lead on rbi singles by Bill Donahue, Aidan Powers, Koury Hajjar and Steve Lambert, as well as a sac fly by Hajjar. True to McKay fashion, they would not die and they woke up for 7 runs in the 6th inning on some walks, hit batsemen, a costly error and base hits by Rob Lerro (triple), Dylan Perez, Drew Tambling and Jack Owens (double). Not to be outdone, the Al Thomas Club took those knockout punches but refused to hit the mat. With one out in the top of the 7th, Chris McDonough tripled to right center. Brendan Wheeler walked and Bill Donahue boomed a double to center, plating McDonough.
