The day after his younger brother picked up the win vs. the same Chelsea team, the Rockies pound out 17 hits to give staff ace Mike McCarthy (11 strikeouts) more than enough offense to notch his second win of the season. Guarino and Conners were stellar in relief allowing only one hit in the final two innings. Gary Moran (4-5) led the offense with a monster night and Chad Conner belted a pair of doubles and drove in three. Bart Lawyer and Pete John contributed with multi-hit games and rookie pitcher Tim Vogel even chipped in with a pinch hit 2-run triple.
