Adam Kulis took the bump "angry" last night and did just fine. Adam had some difficulties @ work and took his frustrations out on the Royals by allowing ony 1 unearned run and 3 scratch hits in 5 innings pitched. 19 year olds Joe Ceurvals and Dean Sandonato pitched the 5th & 6th to garner this huge win.

It is not OVAH for the Beacons, who MUST WIN against Brookline on Sunday in order to secure a spot in the 2007 YBL Championship Tournament. THEN it could only be a tie and a Play In Game on Tuesday. BUT - it is what it is and they just MUST WIN on Sunday!

Great pitching on both sides tonight at Chelsea. The Royals snuck in a run in the 4th but could not hold a slim lead and with plenty of opportunities it seemed like after an outfield miscue in the top of the sixth the Braves would walk away with another win. The Royals continued to push through and played a good game of small ball in the bottom of the 6th to tie the game. After a leadoff double by Sam Kennedy-Smith, Jay Klemm had a perfect sac bunt to move him over and then the Royals gambled. With leadoff hitter Mike Terrio at the plate Kennedy-Smith came hustling down the line and Terrio got a perfect suicide bunt down allowing Kennedy-Smith to score the tying run. With 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th Matt Boleski got a chance to redeem his miscue and took advantage of the short right field fence with a walk-off homerun to win one for the Royals.

Savin Hill players who showed up at McConnel Park at 6:30PM were a bit surprised to see 23 blue shirted Chelsea players organizing a batting practice.

Yeah gotta love their enthusiasim and spirit for the game of baseball.

But, then the "Doctor" showed up for his house call and proceeded to weave shutout baseball to help his Hornet team win the rubber game with the Royals.

I wasn't easy as the Royals loaded the bases in the 5th with one down, only to have CF Paul "Rock" Larocque shag a deep fly ball, then unleash his powerful left arm nabbing Royals LF Santos at the plate for an inning ending DP.

Sholl then closed out the game in the 7th when, with bases jammed, he adeptly fielded a ground ball back to him on the mound and flipped an underhanded toss to home plate to preseve the win and the shutout.
