Revere Rockies 5, East Boston Bombers 4
The Rockies win the playoff series 3-1 against East Boston. Congratulations to East Boston on a great year and a hard fought, clean, series.
The Rockies took the early lead scoring 2 runs in the 1st and 1 in the second, highlighted by a monster 3B by Chad Conner. Sean Magee pitched a gem until the 5th inning when the EB bats rattled Magee to score 3 runs and tie the game at 3-3. A leadoff HBP to DeFillipo of EB came back to hurt the Rockies as he scored on a single by Navarro to take the lead in the top of the 7th. But the Rockies top of the order was coming up. A leadoff walk to Bucciarelli, a single by Jalbert, an RBI single by Moran, and a HBP to Spitz set the stage for Chad Conner coming to the plate with the bases loaded and the scored tied at 4-4. Chad lined a 2-2 pitch into the RF gap to plate the winning run. Conner ended 3-4 on the day. |

What a friggin GAME of Baseball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a 2inning game that ended with the Rockies scoring 2 runs with two outs in the top of the sixth. Some great defensive plays by McKay Club stopped all Rockie threats. But it was AJ Bucciarelli's sinlge, followed by a Steve Corda double, followed by a Kyle Philson single that scored the 2 much needed runs. |

A great pitching match-up...Magee vs Christina. It took 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th for the Rockies to take home the victory. Sean Magee threw a complete game to get the win.
Kevin Spitz' 2 RBI double in the fifth and Dan Jalbert's 2 RBI double in the 6th were the highlights offensively.
Christina pitched a complete game for the Brewers, but took the loss.

South End Astros 7, Revere Rockies 7
In a flooded and muddy Ronan Park, the South End Astros and the Revere Rockies battled for 8 innings before the lights forced the end in a 7-7 tie. The game started 1 hour late due to poor field conditions. Both teams helped to make the field as playable as can be knowing the game had to be played. Special thanks to Owen for his extra elbow grease and rushing down with the field equipment.
