Jon Morse got the victory going 5 strong innings and Mike Powers pitched 2 innings of no hit ball.
Offense was lead by Kevin White,Tom McDonough and Dave Scioli combinding for 11RBI's.
Multiple hit game were Bernie Driscoll, Sal Mendonca and Tom McDonough. |

The Brighton Braves ended up prevailing 9-8 in a back-and-forth game over the Chelsea Royals. There were 5 lead changes in the game. Tom Feeley had another career day going 4 for 4 with a 2-RBI, game tying triple in the 6th and then scoring the winning run in the same inning.
Mike Sciarappa pitched well for the Royals in a no decision, striking out 13 in 5 2/3 innings of work. |

After a slow start, the Braves came back with 14 runs on 10 hits for the victory over Savin Hill. Tom Feeley had a career day with 2 hits including a homerun and 6 RBIs. Scott Wentworth had 3 hits, 3 runs and 3 RBIs. Wentworth also closed the door on the Hornets going the last 3.1 innings and not allowing any runs or hits.

The Braves' Pete Sheridan and the Dodgers' Chris Arenda both pitched gems in the second game of the doubeheader. A throwing error by Arenda in the first allowed the only run of the game. Arenda went the distance for the Dodgers allowing only 3 hits and the unearned run. Sheridan went 6 innings and was relieved by Josh Brooks-Ramsdell after giving up a leadoff double to Matt Donoghue in the 7th. After Donoghue was caught stealing at third, Brooks-Ramsdell recorded two strikeouts for his first save of the year. |

After squandering a 3-run lead in the 7th, Bryan Duffy hit a 400 foot single to drive in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th. Zvi Dubitzky had a great game going 4-5, with 3 runs scored, and 4 stolen bases. Matt Donaghue had 2 base hits, and Marc Skipper went all 10 innings to record the win, while in the process not walking a single batter.
Sullivan and Wentworth both had 3 hits for the Braves, while Tracy, Oulette, and Hannon all had 2 hits. |

After a slow start the Braves bounced back with 15 hits and 11 runs for the win over the Black Sox. Scott Wentworth racked up 4 hits, 4 runs and 3 stolen bases. Sheridan, Ouellette, Feeley and Hannon all had 2 hits apiece.
The Black Sox gave the Braves a scare in the 7th. With Brooks-Ransdell tiring they scored 3 runs to pull within one. With 2 outs and men on second and third, Pete Sheridan made a spectacular catch in center to rob Darwin Hernandez of extra bases to end the game. |

After both teams combined to score 4 runs in the 1st inning, bats fell quiet until the 6th inning. The Braves scored 2 runs in the 6th to tie the score in the top of the inning. The Rockies answered with 6 runs of their own on 6 hits.
Kevin Spitz and Dan Jalbert each collected 3 hits. Jalbert's 1st inning HR and 6th inning doubled plated 3 batters to give him 3 RBIs on the day. Gary Moran also had a multi hit day and collected 2 RBIs. Brian Cooper also had 2 hits in the #2 whole.
Mike McCarthy got the win as he pitched 6 strong innings, striking out 9. Kevin Spitz came in with the bases loaded to help close the door....but not after the Braves rallied for 3 runs. |

The Bluefish rebounded from Thursday Night's loss with a 3-1 win over the Brighton Braves on Saturday at Ronan. Bill Beauchesne won his first game of the year, going 6 innings giving up 5 hits, 1 run, while walking 2 and striking out 3. Closer Kit Kadlec had a rough 7th, giving up 2 hits, but finished the game by picking a runner off of 2nd for his 3rd Save of the season. Sean Glavin's double in the first inning gave the Bluefish the lead that they never gave up. Brighton scored their lone run on a 2 out double by Josh Brooks-Ramsdell, driving home Ryan Ouelette, who doubled earlier in the inning. |

Rookie Savin Hill pitcher Ricky Dolan got his first victory in the YBL and the Hornets earned their second 'W' of the season.
The pesky Hornets were buzzing the basepaths stealing 9 bases in the rain shortened game.
The Braves made the game interesting as they had the game tying run at the plate when the skies opened up, drenching players and equipment and sending everyone scurring about the field grabbing equipment, bags, bats & helmets as the men in blue called a halt to the game so players could swim to safety. |

Scott Wentworth had the game winning hit in the bottom of the 7th to give the Braves their 3rd win of the season and handing South Boston pitcher Jon Tenney his first loss. Ryan Parker got the win for the Braves spreading out 8 hits and 2 runs over 7 innings of work.
Despite the loss, Tenney pitched a gem for the Saints allowing only 5 hits and 7 strikeouts over 7 innings. |

The score may not have shown it, but this was a well played game for both teams offesnively and defensively.
With the score 2-1 heading into the 3rd, the Rockies found their bats and sent 10 batters to the plate and scored 5 runs to take control and get the win. Leland Boutilier returned to action as he went 2-3 and recorded 2 RBIs. Dan Jalbert also had 2 hits in the day.
Mike McCarthy and Sean Magee combined to shutdwon the Braves, allowing just 2 runs.

The Bluefish won their 2nd game of the season on the strength of Chris Demers, who threw 6 innings of 2 hit baseball, while walking 2 and striking out 9. Offensively, the Bluefish jumped right out of the gates in the top of the first, where leadoff hitter Omar Kennedy hit a triple to left field, and scored on a Wild Pitch. Sean Glavin added a 2 run single. For the game, eight of the nine starters got at least one hit, led by Glavin's 3 hits and 3 RBI, and multiple hit games by newcomer Ryan McCrann and Jeremy Creveling. Tom Feeley spoiled the no hit bid for the Braves with a leadoff single in the 5th, and later scored the only run. Owen O'Malley was the losing pitcher, falling to 0-2 on the season. |
