The East Boston Expos are your 2020 Yawkey League Champions!!
Scott Hall took the mound for the Expos on 3 days rest and that was the best decision the Expos made, the townies struggled all night to even get the ball out of the infield. Hall would go on to throw a complete game 1 hit shutout.
The Expos would push across a run in the 3rd inning off reliver Billy Sullivan, that's all the run support Hall would need.
The Expos defense was on display all night led by middle infielders Jose Paulino and Mikey Oliveira, as well as potential league MVP and 3rd basemen Matt Costanza. Bret Samboy anchored first base and was a vacuum all series leading the infield with 57 putouts. Without the defensive plays of these stud infielders the expos wouldn't have been crowned champions.

The Black Sox struck first on a throwing error from the expos catcher on an attempted steal of third base. The Expos would come roaring back scoring 7 runs, all on homeruns. The first one would come from Mike Oliveira in the bottom of the second with the knights trailing 1-0, Oliveira stepped up delivering a two run homerun to the right center alley giving the Expos the lead they would never relinquish. The longest homerun came two innings later in the bottom of the 4th inning when centerfielder Phil Gaines would put the ball in the left center trees for a grand slam. The third and final homerun of the night for the Expos would come off the bat of catcher Derek Adamson, hitting a solo shot to deep left center.
