Grossman Marketing 7, Boston Padres 4
Seip gets the win in relief as Grossman wins in 8 innings. Strassmann (2 for 3, BB, 4 Runs), Hampe (2 runs), and Ferbert (1 run) account for the scoring.
Grossman has a 4 to 2 lead in the 7th as Thater keeps the Padres bats quiet. But Santos has a clutch 2 out 2 run Cleveland Circle home run into the trees in right to tie the game. Grossman, however, comes right back in the top of the 8th with a double by Ferbert and singles by Hampe and Strassmann. A sac fly by McCabe (2 RBI's) and Malloy's catcher's interference at bat with bases loaded (second in as many at bats) result in three runs.
Zack Brian (11 K's, 2 BB's) throws well for the Padres.
